Could This Be Narnia?
The pool at our hotel is literally Narnia! It's 3 acres of pure heaven. Please excuse me while I have a swim...
The Hoover Dam
Did you know that the Hoover Dam is over 700ft tall? No, neither did I... Until today of course. We went on a tour down to the bottom of the Hoover Dam and we got to see the water generators/pipes. We saw how everything worked and took some photos for you on the way! Apparently workers had to dig through 100ft of silt to reach the bedrock that forms the foundation for the build. It was built during the Great Depression and workers were only paid $4 a day. They would only get 2 days off each year. But all their hard work paid off and the dam was completed The in 2 days short of 2 years. Pretty good going if you ask me.

Las Vegas
Just arrived in Vegas yesterday & believe me, they don't call it sin city for nothing. But I won't go into the details of that... I'm in a hotel built for Rock'n'Roll royalty. The interior features costumes, guitars, drumsets etc from the greats, such as Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Led Zepplin, Def Leppard, The Blackhearts & even Linkin Park. Those of you who know me should know that this is paradise for me. I'll try to keep you posted with new stories whenever I can... But no guarantees... You know what they say: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

The Alcatraz
Sorry guys (and girls)! I forgot to upload a pic of the Alcatraz before we left San Fransisco... So here it is!
The Red Canyon
Here's our last stop before Vegas. The Red canyon gets it's name from a giant sandstone structure that's well, you guessed it, red. Sorry I couldn't get any photos because my phone died. I'll try to get some from my brother who practically filmed the place.
Another 'Cold' Day In Death Valley
Just another day in the hottest place on earth... But hey, I saw my first Coyote! But seriously, It's so hot that you could probably get sunburnt from the heat of the sand! I was not meant for this...

Location Update
Hi Everyone!
Yesterday was my last day in San Francisco, where I had spent my first three nights in America. My family and I visited San Francisco's famous sourdough factory before visiting the Alcatraz and hearing the voices of some of the world's most famous criminals. We then took a tour bus to Chinatown after waiting for an hour for the cable cars and then being told they had broken down! On Wednesday (Thursday NZ) we cycled from San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge and to a small waterfront village called Sausalito. Yesterday we drove through Yosemite, seeing thousands of squirrels and mule deer. The deer were only seven meters away and they didn't seem fazed by us at all! That would never happen in NZ! I have been searching for bears every chance that I've gotten but haven't seen any! I trekked all through the woods (I know, I'm so stupid) just to find a bear. I will continue my search (wish me luck) and hopefully get a photo for you! Currently we are driving to Bishop before heading to Vegas Tomorrow. Stay tuned for more location updates!
